What is the TCF Quebec test?
The Test de connaissance du français pour le Québec or TCF Quebec is a French-language proficiency test designed to meet the needs of the Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Diversité et de l’Inclusion (MIDI) du Québec. Click here for TCFQ FAQs.
Anyone, regardless of their nationality and native language, who would like to initiate the process of permanent economic immigration procedures with the Quebec Ministry of Immigration, Diversity and Inclusion. TCFQ is intended only for those who wish to settle in Québec (Certificat de Sélection du Québec).
The TCF Québec consists of 4 modules to evaluate the level of proficiency in oral and written skills:
The TCF Québec evaluates a candidate’s French skills on a scale with six levels (from A1 to C2) established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
An official certificate of results (valid for two years) will be delivered to each candidate within 4 to 8 weeks after the test. The certificate will show the score obtained for each module.
