Best Practices for Safe and Secure Testing Services
The world is an unpredictable place right now and leaving the comfort of your home can be a stressful experience. What do you do when you have educational commitments, deadlines and goals that you still want to pursue? How do you navigate your priorities and ensure your safety? Having insight and preparation can help so much in this arena. There are lots of practical measures that can provide peace of mind as you move through your daily life during COVID. Has your college, university or examining body advised you to arrange for a testing facility and a proctor? If you need to visit an exam centre, the most important thing to focus on is your awareness of best practices for health and safety during COVID. So, just what does that look like for an exam centre?

Safe and secure testing services

Ashton Testing Services follows best practices for exam centres in order to provide you with a safe and secure space. Best practices involve daily cleaning and thoughtful precautions for all of our staff and visitors. Our centre is thoroughly cleaned several times a day, including before we open, after each test taker and at end of each and every day. Rest assured that all common areas, test stations, writing surfaces, pens, storage lockers and locker keys are thoroughly cleaned before and after you use them. The process of rigorous cleaning ensures a safe and secure space for you to complete your exam. By following best practices, everyone can feel a little safer and at ease in their surroundings.

Daily steps for exam centre staff

Beyond thorough cleaning and sanitation, there are several steps that our staff are taking each day for themselves. Our test centre staff wear their masks at all times, wash their hands before each shift and sanitize their hands frequently while checking candidates and handling documents. They may also wear gloves when appropriate. Following the recommended actions from local health organizations, our staff will always maintain physical distances. Health organizations recommend keeping a distance of approximately two metres between yourself and those around you. Rigorous cleaning and respectful physical distancing are two of the most important things that exam centres can do to follow best practices around your health and safety during this time.

What does this mean for you?

You can also follow best practices to ensure that your environment is safe and secure! At Ashton Testing Services, all of our candidates are required to wash their hands before entering the centre and to wear a mask at all times. Why do we require face masks? Reusable or disposable cloth face masks are an excellent way to help protect those around you, even when you are feeling fine. Candidates are also required to sanitize hands before entering the computer area and during any breaks. Our exam centre adheres to physical distancing guidelines, so you will also have lots of personal space. We ask that you follow physical distancing guidelines too, to maximize safety and effectiveness.

Prioritizing safety and well-being

During this unpredictable time, organizations can follow best practices to ensure reliable and safe spaces. When you stop by for an exam, our priority is your safety and well-being throughout the entire process. By following the recommended guiding principles, we can feel more at ease as we go about our daily lives.
