How to Book Your University Exam if you’re a Distance Education Student

There are a variety of reasons why some students choose distant education over on-campus studies. Convenience and flexibility are two of the main benefits. Students have complete control over their time and the pace of the lessons. We have the technology to support all kinds of students today. With high-speed internet and various learning software and platforms, education has become accessible and less dependent on traditional mediums. Moreover, students could be anywhere in the world and still stay connected with their cohort, do their assignments, answer questions, attend online classes, including booking university exams.

If you’re a distance learner and have been instructed by your college, university, institution, or examining body to arrange for a testing facility and a proctor, you can book your proctored exam online with approved testing centres. Before you book proctoring services, submit a proctor information form to your institute or instructor for approval.

Ashton Testing Services (ATS) offers testing and invigilation services for distance-learning students who require to book a proctored exam on their own. An award-winning testing centre, we partner with the biggest names in testing and examinations, including Prometric, Pearson VUE Select, Paragon and Yardstick. ATS specializes in professional high-stakes testing, administering over 200 examinations, tests, and assessments. We accommodate both online and paper-based exams through our two convenient testing centres in Vancouver and Abbotsford.

What are Proctored Exams?

A proctored exam is monitored or supervised by a proctor/invigilator, who ensures order and fairness by following rigorous standards for test administration. A proctor verifies the identity of the test taker and guarantees the integrity of the test-taking environment.

All the proctors at ATS are highly experienced and trained to provide efficient and professional proctoring services. ATS, which is a member of both, the National College Testing Association and the British Columbia Higher Education Testing Association, was recently awarded the Prometric Pace Setter Award. The award was in recognition of the Centre’s efforts in consistently complying with the strict security protocols set by Prometric.
